Guidelines for article submission

Information For Authors

All authors are advised to read first following policies before submitting the article to the journal and agree to it's-Copyright and Licensing Policy
Authors who publish with this journal agree to the following terms:-
Authors retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication.
Authors continue to retain publishing rights to the article without restrictions.

Articles in International Journal of Nursing Education journal are Open Access articles which permits use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original work and source is properly cited.

Review Policy for articles- The decision to publish a manuscript is based on the editorial assessment and peer review .IJONE follows the rigorous peer review process to evaluate the quality and worth of the manuscripts to be published .The journal follows double blind peer review policy for all the articles. Once the article is received, it is forwarded to our two reviewers after removing names of authors and their affiliations. Authors are also not informed names of reviewers. Reviewers send their comments in due course of time and these comments/ queries are forwarded to authors to make corrections or offer explanations. Once the reviewers are satisfied with corrections in manuscripts or explanations given by authors, authors are conveyed the decision of acceptance of article. If author/s refuses to make corrections as suggested by reviewers, manuscript is rejected for publication.

Plagiarism checking policy- The journal has zero tolerance policy for plagiarism. We regularly use software Dupli checker for detection of plagiarism.Manuscripts that are found to have been plagiraised from the work of other authors will be rejected

The Journal follows ICMJE (International Committee of Medical Journals Editor) guidelines. Authors are requested to visit icmje for guidence on how to prepare article. Please go through the latest recommendations and then submit the article.

The manuscript should be in English and prepared on the following guidelines: -

Submission:While submitting the article the corresponding author must send a cover letter stating the manuscript is his original work and is not published elsewhere.The corresponding author is responsibile for ensuring that the article publication has been approved by all the other co-authors and the article has all necessary institutional approvals.
Title: The title should be brief, specific, and informative.Type of the article should be mentioned (orginal/case study/review)
Authors: Names of the authors along with their designation and affliation.Superscripting must be done to number the authors.
Address: Address of the institution where the work was carried out be given below the name(s) of author(s). Present address of correspondence should be given indicating by asterisk the author to whom the correspondence is to be addressed.
Abstract: Abstract needs to be introduced in three parts (Background/Methods/Conclusion). The Abstract should be informative and completely self-explanatory, briefly present the topic, state the scope of the experiments,indicate significant data,and point out major findings and conclusions.The Abstract should be in about 200 to 300 words. Standard nomenclature should be used, and abbreviations should be avoided. No literature should be cited.
Key words: 4-6 Keywords are acceptable.Keywords define the field, subfield, topic, research issue, etc. that are covered by the article.
Introduction: This should be brief, and the review of the literature should be pertinent to the theme of the paper. Extensive review and unnecessary detail of earlier work should be avoided.
Materials and Methods: It should inform the reader about appropriate methodology etc. but if known methods have been adopted, only references be cited. Authors need to indicate when (year/period) and where (university/institute) the present experiment was conducted.

Results and Discussion: It should be combined to avoid repetition. The results should not be repeated in both tables and figures. The discussion should relate to the significance of the observations.

Conclusion and Acknowledgement Table numbers should be followed by the title of the table, Line drawings/photographs should contain figure number and description thereof. The corresponding number(s) of Tables, Figures etc should be quoted in the text.

References: The author should use the author-date format for citations and references in Vancouver style vancouver.pdf . A List of all the references quoted should be provided at the end of the paper. It should be prepared alphabetically with surname of all the authors followed by their initials and year of publication in brackets. The titles of the articles should be mentioned. Full journal name should be used and be typed in italics. Volume numbers need to be in bold type and pagination in normal type.

The journal invites the following kinds of submissions:

1.Full-length articles (not exceeding 3,000 words including references but excluding Tables and Figures).
2.Short theoretical articles (not exceeding 2,000 words including references).
3.Review Articles (not exceeding 4000 words).

Send one file only including Text, Tables and Figures.
All the papers are double blind peer reviewed. The responsibility for any statement in the article rests with the author(s).
